This is a self made reproduction WW2 Red Army medics armband, made of original 1950’s Soviet cotton calico imported from Russia. It has a red cross painted and heat sealed on. Copied from a 1940 dated original armband in my own collection. Occasionally, these armbands will be made from two sections joined together, this is a perfectly normal practice historically to make fabric supplies go further, and is based on another original example in my own collection. If you specifically want an armband without this join, please message me when you order. Band is approx 9 cm x 34 cm with 13 cm cotton tape ties. Shade of calico used may vary. Originally introduced on October 21st, 1918 by Revolutionary Military Council order 120. These armbands could have red crosses either printed or sewn. Shipped 2nd class signed for post.
